Winter is on the Way

Are you feeling it yet? Winter is on the way, and with it will come our favorite time of year. Winter brings so many fun things to Big Bear, and we often get booked solid as a result. There’s no time like the present to book your reservation for this great time of year.

The ski season officially opens this year on November 23rd. Early snow can push this forward, but late snow usually means the slopes will be machine groomed to start. Either way, our skiers will want to make sure they grab one of our great locations for the season. Don’t Miss Ski Season in Big Bear

Spring is in the air, and that means we’re in for some great changes. But it also means we’re heading into the last weeks of ski season in Big Bear, so now’s the time to make sure you don’t miss ski season in Big Bear.

It’s Ski Season in Big Bear

We had a great time welcoming in the New Year, and we sure hope you did as well. We did everything in moderation, and woke up with a clear head ready to take in the Rose parade. New Year’s day was very relaxing, and we’re finally starting to run out of left overs from all the holiday meals.

Like many people, the New Year is always an exciting time for us. We make big resolutions and every year we actually manage to accomplish some of them. It’s always best to start small, and work your way into the big ones. “Get out of bed, “make breakfast,” and “go to work” are easy and help us feel confident in moving on the larger ones. Maybe this year we’ll actually get to the really big ones , so we can have the satisfaction of announcing that we’ve established world peace. And we’ll make the announcement from the top of Mount Everest. It could happen.

What’s Your New Year’s Resolution? We’ve Got A Suggestion!

If your house is like ours, we’re still finding bits of wrapping paper and ribbons scattered around after our Christmas morning clean up. The kids are dividing their time equally between playing with their new toys and playing with the boxes they came in.

We had the most amazing Christmas dinner. Grandma volunteered to cook a turkey with her patented dressing, so it was like Thanksgiving 2.0. Shortly after the last bite of pumpkin pie was consumed, the dads in attendance dutifully fell straight into a winter’s nap on the sofa and recliner. We still think this is just a ploy to get out of helping with cleanup, but the moms were especially charitable and no complaints were heard.
