There are two huge flat screen TV’s, so this is going to be a popular destination to watch sports or host a movie night during your stay. Take full advantage of the wilderness experience by trekking out on one of the hiking trails that run nearby through the forest.
But with all this seclusion and natural setting, the cabin is also located just minutes from Big Bear Village. This means you can enjoy a wilderness experience right out your back door through the forest, and follow up with a fine meal and some great shopping in the village later that same day. June is a great month in Big Bear. The weather is just amazing and there are so many things you can do. The Bear Mountain golf course is open, so you can load up your clubs and marvel at just how far you can drive a ball through the mountain air atop Big Bear. The 9 hole course is perfect for an early getaway. Grab a morning tee time, and you can be back with the family in time for lunch later. After lunch, there’s still time to grab a boat and go out on the lake fishing or go for a leisurely hike on one of the great hiking trails in Big Bear. And that’s just day one. There’s still great fun to be had at the 
Big Bear’s annual summer wine walk takes place on Saturday, June 6 this year. This is one of our favorites. Starting at about 3:00 in the afternoon, local merchants in the Village will offer guests a wide variety of wines from around the world. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about fine wines while you enjoy visiting the many participating shops in the Village.
