The Busy Bears Annual Quilt Show at Big Bear Middle School in on September 6th this year from 10am to 5pm. This annual event showcases some of the most amazing and creative works of stitchery you’ll find anywhere. First on our list is a bit extreme, but certainly a chilly way to support a great cause. The 4th Annual Big Bear Lake “Polar Plunge” for Special Olympics takes place on March 7th at Swim Beach starting at 10:00am. Grab your pet penguin and head over to support the Special Olympics. We’re usually hesitant to make predictions. We’re just not good at probabilities. The most profitable trip we ever took to Vegas involved missing our plane and skipping the trip entirely. Our next prediction has a near certain outcome as well. Spring will arrive. A quick review of history shows that spring has arrived almost every year for a very long time. Spring is of course a mixed blessing. It marks the end of winter and the ski season, but it also brings spring break. Most local schools are taking off the last week of March.
